SURE Sidewinder
Application: Mazdaspeed 3, Mazdaspeed 6, CX7
Years: 2006-2013

The SURE Sidewinder™ replaces the stock turbo inlet pipe which connects the intake system to the turbo. The flexible, ribbed OEM plastic pipe creates unwanted turbulence and is susceptible to cracking. The Sidewinder™ creates a more efficient air flow rate, consistent boost, and a more responsive throttle for your Mazdaspeed driving experience.

Silicone
The SURE Sidewinder™ is constructed with high performance silicone that is reinforced with 3 layers of nylon and a core wrapped in steel wire. The silicone protects the intake air from engine bay heat.

Stainless Connectors
The connectors for the intake and recirculation ports are made of high quality, heavy wall stainless steel. The stainless steel resists corrosion and the heavy wall thickness allows for clamps to be tightened to a degree far exceeding what the stock turbo inlet or other similar products can handle.

Clamps

Every Sidewinder™ includes three (3) stainless steel SURE Stealth Clamps™ that feature an inner lining that protects the silicone from being damaged by the worm gear during tightening.

Design
The SURE Sidewinder™ has a tapered funnel design that minimizes turbulence at the turbocharger. The steel wire that wraps throughout the silicone body of the Sidewinder™ acts as a rib cage. The Sidewinder™ rib cage promotes rigidity and protects the silicone from collapsing. This rib cage design is very important to an efficient silicone turbo inlet.

5 of 5 Great Products-Great Service September 25, 2014
Reviewer: Hayden MacIntyre from Fort Myers, MN United States
I would just like to say I am very impressed with SU's customer service. I recently installed an RMM and a Turbo Inlet Pipe for my Speed3. Every since I installed the TIP I started to hear this "chirp" which sounded like a higher pitched bicycle horn. I kept thinking to myself, this can't be right, and called them up and was wondering what was going on. Luckily I was in the area the next day, Casselbury, and I drove by their store to try and find the solution. We couldn't figure it out at first because I couldn't replicate the sound just by revving the engine, so we took it out for a test drive and as soon as it made the chirp they knew exactly what it was. My Turbosmart bypass-valve was getting so much more air than it was previously that it was making a much louder and distinguished noise compared to the regular whoosh of my SURE CAI. I don't know many places that would go the extra mile to help me like this.

5 of 5 love it!!! March 25, 2013
Reviewer: Angel Diaz from orlando, FL United States
installing was a pain in the ass...But after the install it was WOT all the way my only concern was the sound it made every time i shift or left off the throttle. It made this deep toned sound that im not use too idk or just me. Also with the turbosmart dual port made sound different. Idk if anybody was experincing this sound. but other than that great product.

5 of 5 Great TIP May 13, 2012
Reviewer: Anthony Monaco from Branchburg, NJ
Like all of the Sure products this is another great part. Actually getting the TIP onto the turbo was a pain because of wires and tubes that were in the way. After installation i can definitely hear the more airflow through the pipe.

4 of 5 so much bigger than before (that's what she said) May 6, 2012
Reviewer: John M from Ontario, Canada
when you pull out the stock hard plastic one to replace it with this high quality silicone one, you won't believe how much bigger the Cobb one is than the stocker. A great addition if you have an AccessPort.
Only problem is the larger design means it may rub on some engine parts, so keep an eye on wear and leaks, and the barb near the turbo is kind of loose, put a gear clamp on it so it doesn't pull out

4 of 5 Almost There May 6, 2012
Reviewer: Nicholas Anderson from Dover, DE United States
While the overall construction is fantastic, the largest concern (pet peave of mine, really) was the actual mating to the turbo. On my Sidewinder, it seems like the inlet side is just a half inch too short to mate entirely flush to the turbo. The Sidewinder was pushing up against the wire harness that is right there directly outboard of the engine, so the aft end of the inlet connection was flush, but not the forward part. But all you have to do is tighten the stealth clamp down properly and you should have any leak issues whatsoever. I'd just double check for any slippage after some nice driving. Either way, it's a great product. I would suggest going with the Bigmouth, though, if you don't have the Aeros. Still, it's a great product all around.
