StreetUnit Solid Shifter Spacers replace the stock rubber grommets that hold the shifter cage in place.  The use of the SU Solid Shifter Spacers create more responsive shifts in your Mazda 3/MAZDASPEED 3.  The stock rubber bushings allow shifting to be sloppy, having solid spacers removes this sloppy feeling and improves your driving experience without losing any drivability.

Worthwhile mod for how much it costs and how long it takes to swap out the bushings. Definitely improves shift feel; it made 4-5 much smoother. Best way to describe it is it narrows the shift 'gates'.

That's all I hear now when I shift! No more searching for gears...no more spongy/vague feeling. At first...I thought 40 bucks was a little steep...but trust me, definitely one of the mods you need to get for this car. It's ALOT more fun to drive now! The spongy shifter is one of the MS3's weaknesses, but this little piece of aluminum fixes that 100%

These definitely make shifting feel more solid. My only complaint, no instructions. The install was simple, but considering that there are different pieces, I had to figure out which piece went on top or bottom. After a few tries, I figured it out and the shifter is solid. This install requires patience and persistence because there's not much room to work. Along with the SURE engine mount installed, you become ONE with the engine. You feel all the rumble and power in your seat! Great!
